Winter-Spring 2008 Newsletter

NCGR Northern NJ Chapter

National Council for Geocosmic Research Winter/Spring 2008
An International Astrology Organization

Its time for elections again. Our bylaws demand that we do this every two years. Usually, its more a matter of who is willing to do the job. I can’t recall anyone ever fighting for a post. Oh, but a girl can dream…..

I, Joanne Castro, am willing to remain as President and Jackie Slevin as VP.
Eileen King has agreed to stay on as Secretary and Adele Puleo will step in as Treasurer. If anyone that is a member of this chapter actually wants to serve or run for a post I need to know by January 15.

Ballots will be sent out and will be counted by the Ballot Committee chair Joy Taylor. She will have help to witness the count. At this point, it is merely a formality unless indeed someone wants to be included on the ballot.

This Mars Rx has really been jamming up the cardinal signs. I see the Libras overworked and struggling to keep pace. Capricorns have full plates and struggle to keep everything going. One Cancer I know is having her kitchen redone during this period and can’t cook! It certainly brings frustrations in different forms. I feel as if “my car” is stuck in neutral and I’m trying to gun it with the wheels whirring and spinning. Unfortunately, we have to suffer another month with it, but by them it’ll be driving those with late degrees in the mutables batty.

The New Year is sure to come in with a bang or a boom or some serious event with the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction triggering the Aries Point. We’ll see what Pluto does to or for the Capricorns. One Capricorn I know just told me death has been good for him lately. One unfriendly apartment neighboor passed away across the hall. He had been trying to move and the apartment he desired was given to someone else. Low and behold, the person died and the apartment is now being offered to him. He just has to wait until the family removes the belongings. I had told him I saw him getting the apartment. I even mentioned that he should expect a phone call changing things. I was trully puzzled at first when he told me he didn’t get it. I love it when I’m right.

I’ve started a blog, http://astrojo.blogspot.com, it will list meeting dates and a copy of the newsletter as well as other information and writing.

She has been a member of the Astrological Society of Princeton, NJ since 1975. She has served on the board of ASP in various capacities. Daisy holds a BA in Art and a Masters in Teaching.
